GC10 Race information
Race Date: Sunday 21ST August 2022
A 10km ocean racing dash on the Gold Coast.
Northerly and Southerly course options.
The course will be finalised on the Friday before the race.
Entry Fee: $55 individual, $100 team
Race Start Procedure:
The start format for ALL paddlers shall be a deep water start. A virtual line shall exist inline with the starting IRB. In the interest of safety and fair competition paddlers should “self-seed” themselves by choosing a position in the pre start area that is a realistic reflection of their competitiveness and paddling ability. A loud start horn shall indicate the start of the race. Any paddlers that break the start line will receive a 2 minute penalty added to their finish time.

ENTRY FEES
Your Gold Coast 10 Race Entry Fee Includes: Race Timing and Results, Craft Race Stickers and a exercise band.
All individual entry fees for ocean ski / sls ski / prone / SUP / OC1 - $55
Double ski / OC2 - $100
Additional extras include GC10 race tee.
Entry Refunds & Cancellations:
Entry cancellations can be made up to one week before the event date when a refund (less 20% administration fee) will be made. Refunds will not be given after this date. Please send requests for refunds in writing to info@pushinglimitscoaching.com.au. If the event has to be cancelled due to weather conditions or natural disasters or any other reason so deemed by the organisers, refunds will be issued (less 20% administration fee).

SAFETY
- All Surf ski, SUP, OC1 competitors must wear an approved Level 50 Lifejacket or greater (hi-vis preferred & recommended.
- No inflatable bum bag style lifejackets are permitted except for SUP/ prone paddleboard competitors.
- Race Number – Will be applied by marker pen at Check In and must remain visible.
- Prone paddleboard competitors must wear a hi-vis shirt.
- SUP and Prone paddlers must wear a safety leg leash.
- Craft Number Sticker – this will be distributed at Check In and must be placed in a clearly visible position near the nose of your ski.
- All ski competitors are recommended to wear a Safety Leg Leash – a leash that attaches the paddler to the craft.
- Mobile phones and flares are recommended.
- It is recommended to carry a mobile phone in a water proof bag.
- It is recommended to carry water/hydration for the race.
